Sree Vishnu says Comrade Kalyan is bringing in family audiences. He also says Megastar Chiranjeevi was the first to back the film's standout Acharya Dalam episode.

Speaking at the film's success meet, the actor said word of mouth had spread well and that families could watch it together with their children. The team made the film to give viewers two and a half hours of laughter, he added, and he hoped the strong run would continue.

Calls from industry names had been coming in since the previous night, Sree Vishnu said, including one from a prominent hero who praised the film. He also thanked actor and filmmaker R Narayana Murthy for supporting the project from the start.

The Acharya Dalam scene has become one of the film's biggest talking points. When Kona Venkat pitched the idea, Sree Vishnu felt it would work, but he wanted Chiranjeevi to see it first. The Megastar told him it would be a major highlight, and that is how it played out.

Kona Venkat revealed that a whole Jathara episode was cut. In it, a minister is kidnapped, comrades arrive planning to kill him, and a second group enters the Jathara to rescue him. The team replaced it with a Vennela Kishore episode, and Kona Venkat said dropping it helped the film. The makers plan to post the Jathara episode on social media in the second week so audiences can judge the call for themselves.

At the box office, the comedy has kept audiences coming to theatres. Reports say it is close to its break-even target.
