Bethlehem Kudumba Unit sets 2026 OTT record with 5.4 million viewers

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, the Malayalam romantic comedy led by Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, is the most-watched non-Hindi Indian film of 2026 on streaming in India for an opening weekend.

Ormax StreamView counted 5.4 million viewers between October 2 and October 4. Only unique Indian viewers who watched at least 30 minutes are counted, and the total covers every language version of the film.

The streaming record comes after a strong run in cinemas. Girish AD directed the film for Bhavana Studios, and it opened in theatres on August 21. Producer and actor Fahadh Faasil earlier called it the biggest success in Bhavana Studios' history. He credited Girish AD, Nivin, Mamitha and the rest of the team.

Viewers have rated it highly as well. With an Ormax Power Rating of 92, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is the most-liked theatrical film of 2026 in India across all languages.
