Atlee jokes about Raaka release date, says Allu Arjun film is coming soon

Fans of Icon Star Allu Arjun keep asking one question about Raaka: when will it reach theatres? Director Atlee has now answered, though not in the way many hoped. Asked about the release date at a recent public event, he kept it light and gave nothing concrete away.

Atlee joked that not even the producer had asked him about the release date yet. He then told everyone the film would arrive soon, but he did not name a date or even a release window. For now, the makers are keeping their plans to themselves, and Raaka has no official release date.

Shooting is going on in Mumbai at the moment. The team is aiming for a release towards the end of 2027. Until the makers confirm it, fans should see that as a target and not a fixed date.

Raaka is the first time Allu Arjun and Atlee have worked together, and people have been excited about the pairing ever since it was announced. Sun Pictures is producing the film on a grand scale. Deepika Padukone is in the cast, and Allu Arjun reportedly plays a dual role. Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur have also been linked to the project, according to reports.

Sai Abhyankkar is composing the music. There is one more casting update: Aishwarya Lekshmi has said clearly that she is not part of Raaka. That ends the earlier reports that had connected her to the film.
