Salman Khan's latest venture, "Tiger 3," is facing challenges at the box office unlike its blockbuster predecessors, "Ek Tha Tiger" and "Tiger Zinda Hai." The film struggled to garner positive word of mouth, leading to a notable drop in collections, compounded by the impact of the ODI World Cup. Preliminary estimates indicate that the final match had a substantial adverse effect on the movie's performance.
Despite Sunday's collections, "Tiger 3" has amassed approximately 225 crores nett in India. Given the current trajectory, surpassing the 300 crores mark seems challenging, and the film is projected to fall short of the collections achieved by "Tiger Zinda Hai" (339 crores nett in India).
The overseas performance of "Tiger 3" is also disappointing. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the movie features Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in pivotal roles.
