Salman Khan Addresses The Unsatisfactory Box Office Performance

Salman Khan discusses the underperformance of 'Tiger 3' and earlier films.

"Tiger 3," the latest addition to the YRF Spy Universe, fell short of making a significant impact at the box office, expected to conclude with a gross under 500 crores. Salman Khan, in a recent interview, attributed the underperformance of his earlier films, "Antim" and "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (KKBKJ)," to low ticket prices.

Salman Khan explained, “When 'Antim' and 'KKBKJ' were released, people were hesitant to return to theaters. We opted for regular pricing, prioritizing affordability for the audience over exorbitant prices. Although our earnings may have been less, our goal was to offer the audience an enjoyable cinematic experience at reasonable prices. If 'KKBKJ' had released today, the numbers would have been entirely different.”

However, Salman Khan's words have sparked criticism from certain sections of netizens who point out the success of films like "Pathaan," "Gadar 2," and "Jawan," questioning the validity of his reasoning. Some deem these explanations as excuses. On the professional front, Salman Khan's next project is with Vishnuvardhan, titled "The Bull," to be produced by Karan Johar.
