Soundarya Sathyanarayana, aka Soundarya, is known to be one of the most gifted and charismatic actors in the Telugu film industry. Her fan following was a cult during the late 90s and early 20s. An aircraft crash claimed the life of the actress near Bangalore on 17 April 2004. She shot to fame with her role as Bhavani in Ammoru, which was released in 1995. The movie also earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
