Sonali Bendre joins host Madhuri Dixit on Kon Honar Crorepati premiere

Sonali Bendre is the celebrity guest on the first episode of Kon Honar Crorepati, the Marathi quiz show that now has Madhuri Dixit as its host. This is the first time the two actors appear on screen together.

On the show, Sonali plays in support of a foundation that works for animals. She also talks about her animal welfare work and her Happy Podcast. The new season runs under the tagline "Aata Khel Badalnaar", which means "Now, the game will change".

Madhuri said in a statement that she and Sonali had never made a film together. "But it's never too late!" she said. She called the shoot a celebration and said she was glad to start this new chapter with Sonali.

Sonali has admired Madhuri for a long time. She said she has always been a fan and has got to know her better over the years. Madhuri's younger son and Sonali's son go to the same school, so the two meet often, but until now they had never worked together.

She said Madhuri's warmth is why she was not surprised to see her as a host, and she always knew Madhuri would be good at it. Sonali praised her acting and her dancing, and she got to watch Madhuri dance on the set. She also asked for one more thing: "If someone out there is watching or listening, please write something for the two of us. I would love it!"

Kon Honar Crorepati airs on October 12 on Sony Marathi and Sony LIV.
