Aneet Padda's horror comedy Shakti Shalini is moving away from Christmas 2026. The makers are now looking at the first quarter of 2027, with March the likely target, and that would keep the film clear of Shah Rukh Khan's King.

Maddock Films first planned the film for the Christmas window, which would have put it head to head with King. A new date has not been locked, and no official announcement has come yet.

Vishal Jethwa, who is in the cast, was asked about the release plans at FICCI FRAMES 2026. He said he had heard the rumours but did not confirm any change.

Aditya Sarpotdar directs the film, which brings a new character into Dinesh Vijan's horror comedy universe. That world already includes Stree, Bhediya and Munjya.

For Aneet, this is a big step after the success of Saiyaara in 2025. It puts her at the front of an established franchise.
