Shahid Kapoor starring Jersey is all set to release in theatres on Diwali, November 5, 2021. After wrapping up the shooting during the pandemic, now the makers are working hard to complete the film, so that it hits the theatres on Diwali, 5th November 2021. Jersey stars Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Pankaj Kapoor, and is helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and has music by Sachet and Parmpara. The movie is a remake of the critically praised and commercially successful Telugu film Jersey.

Shahid Kapoor took to social media and excitedly shared his batsmen's look for the movie. Shahid Tweeted saying it was a moment of Triumph and was so proud to be part of the movie team. The producer of the film Aman Gill commented that Diwali was the biggest family festival of the year and that it is the perfect time to bring the movie Jersey before audiences. The movie is touted to be a family sports drama. Aman, also added that Audiences get a time when all families can come together to celebrate this journey, Jersey. The movie is presented by Allu Aravind, helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, and produced by Aman Gill, Dil Raju & S.Naga Vamsi.
