Sandeep Reddy Vanga to surprise all this New Year with his movie with Ranbir Kapoor, the movie is titled as Devil. Actor Ranbir Kapoor confirmed his association with Kabir Singh director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Initially, Mahesh Babu was considered for the film, but  Mahesh turned down the offer as he felt the movie is too dark, which doesn't suit his acting mannerism. Sandeep Vanga was quoted saying that he was keen to work with Mahesh Babu, and so was Mahesh in working with him. Vanga has expertise in dealing with dark characters.

He is 2 films old in the industry and both of his films Arjun Reddy and its Hindi remake, Kabir Singh was about an alcoholic with anger issues. Kabir Singh received extensive resentment for exalting rash behavior. Despite the poor reviews, Kabir Singh was a box office success, which earned Rs 270 crore, making it the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2019. Ranbir has and had associated with controversial directors one such is Luv Ranjan, in whose film Ranbir will be seen next.
