The film Salaar, featuring Prabhas and directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame, is making remarkable strides in the overseas market. The movie, known for its intense mass entertainment, recently underwent censor formalities and received an A certificate. Interestingly, this marks Prabhas's second film after Mirchi to secure an A certificate.
In an exclusive interview with Bollywood media, Vijay Kiragandur acknowledged that the decision to release the film on December 22 was influenced by astrological considerations. Kiragandur explained, "We do believe in certain aspects, and that's why we didn't advance the release, despite Dunki and Aquaman premiering a day earlier."
Elaborating on the decision-making process, Kiragandur added, "Several pending works prevented us from meeting the initial September 28 deadline. We explored various dates until May 2024 but ultimately settled on December 22. It not only provided ample time for pending tasks but also coincides with the festive Christmas and New Year season, ensuring a larger audience turnout at the theaters."
