Ramayana Part 1 gets second trailer as Ranbir and Sai Pallavi head to KBC 18

Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana has a second trailer. The makers released it on Friday, and this time the spotlight sits on Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash as Raavan, with the strength of both characters on full display.

Kunal Kapoor also gets a first glimpse as Indra in the new cut, which follows the first trailer from July. Fans on X were quick to praise the visual effects, picking out a mountain sequence and the fight between Jatayu and Raavan as their favourite moments.

Promotions now move to television. Ranbir and Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita, will appear on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 with host Amitabh Bachchan, and the shoot is planned for Saturday, reports say. The two actors will talk about the film, what it was like to make it and their connection with the epic.

For Ranbir, the episode means a reunion. He and Bachchan shared the screen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra in 2022, where Ranbir played Shiva and Bachchan played Guru. The bond goes back a generation as well. Bachchan and Ranbir's late father, Rishi Kapoor, acted together in films such as Kabhi Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony, Naseeb and Coolie.

Ramayana is planned as a two-part adaptation of the epic. Part 1 opens worldwide on November 5, 2026.
