The much-anticipated film 'Skanda' had cinephiles eagerly awaiting its release as it marked the first collaboration between director Boyapati Sreenu and leading actor Ram Pothineni. The film, boasting a substantial budget, hit the screens on September 28, 2023.

The movie's opening was nothing short of spectacular, raking in a remarkable 8.62 crores on its first day of release, a milestone in Ram's career. On the second day, 'Skanda' continued its successful run, earning close to 4.3 crores in the Telugu states.

This impressive performance has pushed the film's total collections past the 12 crore mark. However, to maintain its momentum, 'Skanda' will need strong weekend collections. Fortunately, it benefits from an extended weekend due to the public holiday on October 2nd.

Thaman composed the music for the film, which features Sreeleela and Saiee Manjrekar as the heroines, adding to the movie's allure."
