Ram Pothineni's highly anticipated movie, Skanda, directed by mass films specialist Boyapati Sreenu, didn't meet the expectations at the box office. The film, starring Sreeleela as the female lead, received criticism for its over-the-top sequences. However, Skanda recently had a successful world television premiere on Star Maa, with an impressive 8.11 TRP. What makes this even more remarkable is that it aired on the same day and time as Balakrishna's Bhagavanth Kesari, yet Skanda managed to captivate the small screen audience, which is an incredible achievement.

In addition to Ram Pothineni's presence, Saiee Manjrekar also delivered a notable performance in the movie. The melodious tunes were composed by SS Thaman, and the film was produced by Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Skanda also featured talented actors such as Srikanth, Prince, Sharath Lohitashwa, Indraja, Ajay Purkar, Daggubati Raja, Kalakeya Prabhakar, and Babloo Prithveeraj in important roles.
