Mamitha Baiju is in line for a key role in Jai Hanuman, the sequel Prasanth Varma is making to HanuMan, reports say.

Nothing is official yet. The makers have not announced her casting, and there is no word on the character she would play or how big the part is.

Rishab Shetty plays a central role in the mythological fantasy, which Prasanth Varma directs. Signing Mamitha would put him alongside a young actress whose popularity has climbed quickly across South Indian cinema.

Telugu audiences already know the Malayalam actress from Vishwanath and Sons. Back home, Bethlem Kudumba Unit is among the films that turned her into a name producers now chase, and a large mythological project in Telugu would be new ground for her.
