Kareena Kapoor Khan reportedly joins Shah Rukh Khan's King for song Daddy Cool

Kareena Kapoor Khan is reportedly joining Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming action film King for a special appearance. She is expected to feature in a song called Daddy Cool, which would bring her back on screen with the superstar after 15 years. The makers have not officially confirmed the news so far.

Sachin-Jigar have composed the track, and it is being planned as one of the big highlights of the film. A source close to the project said the team wants to show the two stars together in a fresh way and is sparing no effort to make the song memorable. The plan reportedly brings an international artist together with an Indian artist on the track, though their names are being kept under wraps for now.

According to reports, Kareena has set aside around five days for the shoot. It is planned on a grand scale in South Africa later this month. The song is also said to give Shah Rukh a look fans have not seen before. Some reports say it will follow the style of the duo's popular Ra.One numbers, Chammak Challo and Criminal.

The pair has a long history together. Kareena and Shah Rukh have worked in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Asoka and Ra.One, and she has also made special appearances in his films Don and Billu.

King is co-written and directed by Siddharth Anand, who teams up with Shah Rukh again after Pathaan. Gauri Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment is producing it with Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand's Marflix Pictures. The cast includes Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji and Jaideep Ahlawat. Abhishek reportedly plays the main villain, and Anirudh Ravichander is said to be handling the background score.

The film is reportedly set for a worldwide release on December 24, 2026, over the Christmas weekend. Fans may get something new before then, too. Reports say the team plans to reveal a fresh asset from King around November 2, which is Shah Rukh Khan's birthday.
