Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' Set To Clash With Other Pongal Releases In 2023!

The highly-anticipated patriotic drama, "Indian 2" from the stalwart Kollywood actor-director duo Kamal Haasan and Shankar, is slated for release during the Pongal festival early next year. This announcement has sent waves across the industry, as "Indian 2" is expected to pose a significant threat to other high-budget Pongal releases such as Mahesh Babu's 28th film, Prabhas' "Project K," and Suriya's 42nd film.

"Indian 2" (Bharatheeyudu in Telugu) is the second installment in the Indian franchise, with the first movie becoming a huge blockbuster upon its release in 1996. Kamal Haasan's vigilante character in the first movie attained a cult status. The "Indian 2" makers recently wrapped up a crucial shooting schedule in Taiwan and have now moved on to Johannesburg, South Africa, for yet another key schedule.

The film features Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles and is produced by Lyca Productions. The music score is by Anirudh Ravichander.
