Jaya Bachchan hugs Kajol at Mumbai Durga Puja pandal on Shashti
Jaya Bachchan, joined by daughter Shweta, hugged Kajol at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal on Saturday, as Kajol visited with her children Nysa and Yug to seek blessings.
Jaya Bachchan shared a warm hug with Kajol on Saturday at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai, where Shashti brought a string of film personalities to the celebrations.
The veteran actor wore an off-white saree and came with her daughter, Shweta Bachchan. She also embraced Kajol's sister Tanishaa, then stood for pictures with Kajol, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji and others. Photos and clips from the visit spread quickly online.
Kajol brought her children, Nysa and Yug, for blessings. The three posed in front of the Maa Durga idol, and one moment between Kajol and her son won fans over. Kajol picked a mustard-yellow saree with orange hues and a zari border. Nysa went with powder-blue silk, and Yug kept it simple in a light blue and white kurta-pyjama.
The Mukerji family organises this pandal, and Jaya visits it every year. Rani Mukerji, another of Kajol's cousins, normally attends as well. She has not been seen at the festivities so far, after the death of her mother, Krishna Mukerji, in September.
A few days before the festival, Tanishaa used a press meet in Mumbai to ask photographers and visitors to look out for each other, because the crowd pushes hard near the pandal. She also joked with the paparazzi, asking them to leave "Jaya aunty" alone this year, and said some photographers deliberately provoke the actor.
