Indian Films Kabzaa And PAPA Receive Mixed Reactions Upon Release In USA

The release and reception of two Indian films, Kabzaa and Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi (PAPA), with Kabzaa receiving negative reviews and PAPA earning comparatively better in the USA.

In theaters yesterday, Kabzaa, a pan-Indian film featuring Upendra and Shriya Saran as the lead roles, was released. However, the period action drama received primarily negative reviews, with many viewers feeling it was a rehashed version of KGF.

Meanwhile, another film titled Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi (PAPA), starring Naga Shaurya also premiered. This love drama received mixed responses from audiences. Despite Kabzaa earning almost $16,000 in the USA, PAPA performed comparatively better, making $22,000 in the same region.

PAPA marks the third collaboration between director Srinivas Avasarala and Naga Shaurya, with Malvika Nair as the leading lady. Kabzaa, a multilingual film directed by Chandru R, features Sandalwood star heroes Kiccha Sudeepa and Shiva Rajkumar in critical cameos.
