I Hate Marriage teaser out, debut director Parmesh Renukuntla takes on Gen Z love

The makers of I Hate Marriage have released the film's teaser. The youth drama is a first film for both its director and its heroine.

Sugi Vijay plays the lead opposite Jupsi Bhadra, who makes her acting debut here. Parmesh Renukuntla directs, also for the first time. Dayanand Madham and Karthik Vempati are producing the film together under the Arya Cinema banner.

Parmesh said the story looks at how today's Gen Z wants to balance love, marriage and a career while still living life on its own terms. He believes young viewers will see themselves in the characters and the choices they face, and he promised audiences fresh content and a new kind of film experience.

The buzz started before the teaser. The lyrical video of the song Appude Pella? caught on quickly and trended across social media.

Harika Rajender and Sahithi Krishna play key roles. Prithviraj, Ravivarma Adduri, Prabhavathi and Ashrita Vemuganti are part of the supporting cast.
