Talk of a postponement is back for SS Rajamouli's Varanasi, the big-budget Mahesh Babu film set to reach theatres on April 7, 2027. The makers have not confirmed any change to that date.

There is a second half to the rumour. If Varanasi does move, Prabhas' Fauzi could take over the April 7 slot. That part also rests on speculation, and no official announcement backs it up.

Reports say unfinished post-production work is behind this latest round of delay talk. Even so, nothing has come from Rajamouli's camp to suggest the team is thinking about a new date, and Varanasi stays on course for its planned April release.

Any real shift in the release plan would have to come from the makers themselves. So far, they have announced nothing.
