Hanuman Ansh crosses Rs 300 crore net in India in its eighth weekend

Hanuman Ansh, the devotional drama directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, has moved past the Rs 300 crore net mark in India during its eighth weekend in theatres. Early figures for Sunday, Day 52, reportedly stood at Rs 3.03 crore by midday. That lifts the India net total to about Rs 301.06 crore, and the final number for the day is still to come. Reports put the India gross at Rs 355.68 crore.

Saturday did the heavy lifting. On Day 51, September 26, the film collected Rs 6.50 crore net, nearly double its Day 50 figure of Rs 3.35 crore. According to reports, Hindi shows averaged 44.04% occupancy that day. Morning shows started at 19%, and night shows climbed to 59.62%.

The film's run is unusual. It opened quietly with Rs 1.08 crore in its first week, and the second week added only Rs 0.40 crore. From week three the numbers took off: Rs 10.40 crore, then Rs 61 crore in week four and a peak of Rs 90.25 crore in week five. Week six brought in Rs 80.25 crore, and week seven added roughly Rs 45 crore.

The film was reportedly made on a budget of just Rs 1.80 crore, so the return on this investment is enormous. Reports also say Hanuman Ansh is set to become only the seventh film in Bollywood history to reach this Rs 300 crore level. Most films lose steam within two weeks, but this one has kept pulling audiences eight weeks in.

Shobhinaw Satyaa plays Neem Karoli Baba. Chandan Anand, Gulshan Pandey, Anil Rastogi and Purnima Tiwari reportedly play key roles, and the film is said to have released on August 7, 2026. Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar recently met the team and congratulated them in a post on X. He said it was inspiring to see a story made with so much conviction and honesty.
