Director Lokesh Kanagaraj Considers Exiting Social Media Due To Fan Rivalry Trolling

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for hit films like "Master" and "Khaidi," contemplates quitting social media due to excessive trolling and hate during fan wars, despite using it to support newcomers and low-budget films.

Renowned Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj, celebrated for blockbusters like "Khaidi," "Master," and "Vikram," has a massive fan following on par with top actors. However, he recently surprised many by announcing his intention to quit social media due to the overwhelming hate and trolling he receives during fan rivalries.

In a recent interview while promoting "Leo," Lokesh expressed his frustration with the excessive enthusiasm of fans in proving their favourite heroes' box office prowess. He mentioned how he is often targeted in these social media disputes, receiving thousands of such posts daily. As a result, he's contemplating leaving social media behind.

Lokesh clarified that the sole reason he remains on social media is to support newcomers and low-budget films. He emphasized that he has no personal interest in it and views it as a form of entertainment lasting just a couple of hours, urging fans to maintain a more positive and balanced approach. Lokesh's latest film, "Leo," featuring Thalapathy Vijay, debuted with a record-breaking opening day collection at the global box office.
