Bigg Boss 20: Qazi Touqeer nominated as 'lollipop' remark sparks row with Kanika Mann

Qazi Touqeer is at the centre of the Bigg Boss 20 house this week for two reasons. He is reportedly one of 11 contestants facing eviction in week 4, and he is also caught up in a fresh argument with fellow housemate Kanika Mann over a 'lollipop' remark.

This week's nominations reportedly came out of a sacrifice task, where housemates had to give up their own safety to protect someone else. When the task ended, Bigg Boss named the contestants facing the public vote. Reports say only Arishfa Khan, Aasif Khan and Gullu stayed safe. The nominated names include Mahhi Vij, Qazi Touqeer, Uditi Singh, Aman Gandhi, Kanika Mann and Yung DSA.

Unofficial voting trends reportedly put Qazi at the top, with ScoutOP and Yung DSA behind him. At the other end, Aman Gandhi, Rhiti Tiwari and Mary Kom are said to be getting the fewest votes, which has led to talk that Rhiti or Mary Kom could be at risk. These trends are not official, and the final result rests with the show.

Inside the house, Qazi reportedly tried to explain an earlier 'lollipop' comment to Kanika. He said he had stepped into Hrithik Roshan's childlike character from Koi Mil Gaya and was speaking as that character, insisting that "lollipop is not abusive word." Kanika told him she did not like the remark.

The talk turned worse when Qazi asked her if they could have lollipop together. Kanika walked away and called the comment cheap, adding that she did not expect that kind of thing from him.

On social media, several fans came to Qazi's defence. They argued that a joke about a Hrithik dialogue was being given a double meaning, and that housemates were stretching the issue for screen time. This is not the first time Qazi has drawn criticism this season. A prank in which he pretended to need medical help after a task upset housemates, especially after he admitted he was acting to entertain viewers. His 'ganji gudiya' remark was also questioned by some contestants, though Qazi has said his intentions were not wrong.
