Anupama Parameswaran on judging Dhee and finding beauty in a breakup

Anupama Parameswaran has said the offer to judge the dance show Dhee caught her completely off guard. In an interview, the actress said she never saw it coming. She took it up anyway, because she enjoys trying out different formats.

Films are not the only space she wants to work in. After making a name in cinema, she went on to do short films and music videos too. She said she stays open to something new whenever an interesting offer turns up.

She also spoke openly about her breakup, which she had talked about some time back. To her, a breakup is simply part of life. She explained that how a person walks away from someone, and grows into a better version of themselves, begins right there. That is why she feels even that phase can be beautiful.

Looking back on that period earlier, she described crying for hours every night and still having to get up and go to the shoot. The strain left her lacrimal gland swollen, she said, and she had to have surgery.
