Shakti Shalini is not moving. Aneet Padda's horror-comedy is still set to open on December 24, 2026, the same day Shah Rukh Khan's King arrives in theatres.

The date is on the film's promo video, which now plays before screenings of Prahaar. That settles talk that the makers might push the release into 2027 to stay out of King's way. Earlier reports had pointed to that delay.

Vishal Jethwa, who acts in the film, had already brushed the speculation aside. Speaking at FICCI FRAMES 2026, he laughed and said, "Maine bhi sune hain rumours," meaning he too had heard the rumours.

For Aneet, this is only her second film. She became a familiar face with Mohit Suri's romantic drama Saiyaara, where she starred opposite newcomer Ahaan Panday.

Aditya Sarpotdar directs Shakti Shalini, the sixth film in the horror-comedy universe and one of its most awaited releases. With both films holding the same date, Christmas Eve is shaping up as a straight box office fight between a second-film heroine and one of the biggest stars in the country.
