Akshay Kumar And 45 Junior Artists Of Ram Setu Tested Positive For COVID-19

The second wave of this notorious virus has been extreme and cases in Maharashtra particularly are at a high peak. It's clear that the film industry is being hit at the curb as this pandemic and lockdowns will gravely affect everyone in the industry. It's no new news that Akshay Kumar has contracted COVID-19 yesterday i.e. 4th April. But it is now confirmed that 45 junior artists from the Ram Setu team have also tested positive for the COVID-19. This news came to light when the cast and crew of 100 people were supposed to appear at the Ram Setu sets on Monday, April 5, in Mumbai's Madh Island. During the mandated COVID-19 tests conducted, 45 junior artists happened to be infected with the virus.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) General Secretary Ashok Dubey verified the news to The Times of India, stating, “Ram Setu has been taking full precautions. Unfortunately, 45 people from our Junior Artistes Association have tested positive. They have been quarantined.” As a result of this fiasco, the film shoot of Ram Setu at least won't be happening till 13 to 14 days.
