Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is the story of Uyyalawasa Narsimha reddy who is the successor for the throne of Rayalaseema. He is a serene and just man. He falls in love with a dancer named Lakshmi (Tamannah) and just when they decide to unite, he comes to know that he is already married. At a young age, he got married to Siddhama (Nayanatara) and performed a ritual that brings ample rains to the usually dry region. The ritual has to be performed again to bring rains. He decides to let Lakshmi go and stay with Siddhamma as he should. Even Siddhamma has a lot of devotion towards her husband. When Lakshmi comes to know about this, she tries to commit suicide but Narasimha motivates her to bring a change in society with her art. This is the time when the East India Company enters the country and begins to loot the Indian goods. Troubling the natives, they steal and exports Indian riches while exerting their power over the citizens. To stop the atrocities, Narasimha reddy renounces his throne, leaves his wife and family to fight for the nation. Along with a few other supporters, he sets out to face the Britishers. The rest of the story is about how Narasimha Reddy puts up a strong fight that shakes the foundation of the East India Company in India.
