Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma is a Hindi film actress and producer, counted among the top Bollywood stars of the 2010s. Audiences know her best for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and PK, and her performance in Jab Tak Hai Jaan earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her first film was Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), a huge box office success in which she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Two Yash Raj Films love stories, Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), then made her a familiar face across India. She chose many roles as bold, independent women. Her turn in the thriller NH10 (2015) won strong reviews, and so did her work in Sui Dhaaga (2018), Dil Dhadakne Do (2015) and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). Her biggest commercial successes were two Rajkumar Hirani films, PK (2014) and Sanju (2018), and the sports drama Sultan (2016). Zero (2018) met a poor response, and she stepped away from acting after it. Behind the camera, she co-founded the production house Clean Slate Filmz, which backed NH10, Phillauri (2017), Paatal Lok (2020), Bulbbul (2020) and Qala (2022). Her honours include one Filmfare Award and three IIFA Awards. She also created Nush, a clothing label for women, endorses several brands, and lends her support to causes such as gender equality and animal rights.
