Vijay Deverakonda wraps Ranabaali, joins Rowdy Janardhana action shoot in Mangaluru

Vijay Deverakonda has closed the book on Ranabaali. The actor has finished both the shoot and his dubbing for the film, and instead of taking a break he has gone straight to his next set. He has landed in Mangaluru to join the ongoing schedule of Rowdy Janardhana.

Ranabaali is directed by Rahul Sankrityan, who earlier worked with Vijay on Taxiwaala. Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead and Mythri Movie Makers are backing the project. Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo plays a key role, which reports describe as his entry into Indian cinema, and the film is reportedly presented by T-Series.

The film is set for a theatrical release on October 16. With Vijay now free of his duties on it, he is expected to start the promotions shortly.

In Mangaluru, the Rowdy Janardhana unit is filming a major action sequence that will run over the next few days. Reports say the portions being canned in the coastal city are an important stretch for the film, and Vijay is right at the centre of them.

Rowdy Janardhana is directed by Ravi Kiran Kola of Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, with Keerthy Suresh as the heroine and Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations producing. It is described as a rural entertainer, and senior actor Rajasekhar is reportedly part of the cast in an important role. A large chunk of the shoot is already done, and Vijay plans to stay on the film until the rest of it is wrapped.

The release date is where reports part ways. Some say the film is aimed at early 2027, others point to the summer, and one suggests December. What nobody disputes is the pace. Vijay is also reported to have signed a film with director Shouryuv, and he recently launched his own skincare brand, so his calendar for the coming months looks packed.
