Venu Udugala to reinvent Maidanam on screen 

Director Venu Udugala to come up with a movie based on Chalam's best seller Maidanam. Chalam has a clique following among the Telugu literary connoisseur. Novel Maidanam is one of the finest works of Chalam. Maidanaam is a Telugu novel that earned much craze and thus has been translated into other languages and amassed success there as well. Now, Maidanam is touted to be an OTT original. Director Venu Udugala-the creator of Needhi Naadi Oke Katha and earned critical appreciation, is now bankrolling Maidanam.  

This is going to be helmed by Kavi Siddharth. Venu Udugala is currently engaged in directing Viraata Parvatam starring Sai Pallavi and Rana Daggubati. The looks of Rana, Sai Pallavi, and Priyamani have already hoarded the eyes of the audience. Since Venu is occupied with Viraata Parvatham, he is producing Maidanam. Even though this is a modern era Venu feels that Maidanam is very much pertinent to present-day society and also an important message that is to be conveyed to the present generation via OTT. Maidnam is a masterpiece of literary work written by Chalam defining the plight of women in the pre-independence era of the country.
