He will be replacing Biju Menon as a cop in the lead role in the original film.

Power Star's next film, vibrant and colorful, which was much awaited got announced. This big announcement of Power Star's next film was made on Dusshera, adding a little more specialty to the festive environment. As speculated, Pawan Kalyan will be playing one of the lead roles in the remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Ayyappanum Koshiyam which has created a sensation and got national recognition. He will be replacing Biju Menon as a cop in the lead role in the original film.

The actor is currently working on the sets of Vakeel Saab and is likely to join the sets of Ayyappanum Koshiyam after he finishes Vakeel Saab in January 2021. The film will be helmed by Sagar K Chandra of Appatlo Okadundevadu's fame according to the official announcement made on Dussehra. Rana Daggubati is expected to play another lead role in the remake. The music is composed by S Thaman and the female lead role is yet to be finalized. The movie is likely to complete its shoot in a single schedule within 35 days, and thus the actor has further extended the shoot of Krish's film.
