The Paradise unveils Anjaana Anjaani at pre-release event, film gets A certificate

Nani's The Paradise is nearly at the finish line. The Srikanth Odela directorial arrives in theatres on September 24, with premieres set for the evening of September 23. The makers held a grand pre-release event at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad, and the turnout was massive.

The highlight of the evening was the third single, Anjaana Anjaani. Anirudh Ravichander has composed a gentle romantic melody, sung by him along with Sublahshini, with lyrics by Kittu Vissapragada. The track is built on the romance between Nani and Kayadu Lohar, a softer mood than the first two songs, Aaya Sher and Yasha Nagula. The makers have held back the visuals for now, saving the song's picturisation for the theatre. Tamil and Hindi versions have also been released.

Sammakka, an emotionally charged number, was also unveiled at the event, and both songs drew a strong response.

The film carries an A certificate. The makers said the Censor Board cleared it after 21 cuts, and the final runtime stands at 2 hours 54 minutes. The story follows a man named Jadal who stands up for his people and his land, and the teaser showed a large scale conflict building around him.

Anirudh and Srikanth Odela could not attend the function as they were finishing the final mix. Anirudh sent a message calling The Paradise a heartfelt film and saying he found a brother in the young director. He also noted that this is his third film with Nani after Jersey and Gang Leader.

Nani spoke warmly about his team. He praised Sampoornesh Babu as Biryani, called Raghav Juyal a rockstar and an entertainer, said nobody but Sonali Kulkarni could have played Sammakka, and promised a new generation would discover what Mohan Babu is capable of. Kayadu, he said, is wonderful as Subbu. He asked fans to ignore the negativity around the film and promised theatres will shake from the night of the 23rd. Raghav Juyal also performed to Aaya Sher on stage. Reports say the film is drawing strong advance bookings in the Nizam and overseas markets.
