Chandini Chowdhary's film Yevam, directed by Prakash Dantuluri and featuring Vasistha Simha as the antagonist, hit theaters on June 14. Coincidentally, another film starring Chandini, Music Shop Murthy, also released on the same day. Unfortunately, both films underperformed at the box office.
However, Yevam is gearing up for its digital release. The Telugu streaming platform Aha has acquired the post-theatrical rights, and the film will be available for streaming starting at 12 PM on July 25. Given the strong demand for murder mysteries on OTT platforms, Yevam is anticipated to find success in the digital arena.
The film addresses the objectification of women and celebrates their resilience. Produced by Navadeep and Pavan Goparaju, with music by Keertana Sesh and Neelesh Mandalapu, Yevam also stars Bharat Raj and Ashu Reddy in key roles.
