Sundeep Kishan's Karikaala launched with pooja, two chapters set for 2027

Sundeep Kishan's pan-India socio-fantasy Karikaala went on the floors with a traditional pooja ceremony. The film will be told in two chapters.

Speaking to the media at the launch, the actor admitted he had never talked about his films with this much confidence before. He said he was making an exception for Karikaala and Power Peta, and promised that both would give audiences an extraordinary experience on the big screen.

The makers have set Chapter 1 for a worldwide theatrical release on July 2, 2027. Chapter 2 follows on October 28, 2027.

Ugandhar Muni directs the film for Shining Pictures, with Mahidhar Reddy and Rajashekhar Annabhimoju producing. Catherine Tresa, Sakkshi Mhadolkar and Gayatri Bhardwaj play the female leads, and Sricharan Pakala is composing the music.

Karikaala is being made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The first-look poster, which came out with the title announcement, shows Sundeep as a fierce warrior. The rest of the cast and crew will be announced later.
