Disha Patani, one of the country's most popular stars, recently appeared in Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD and the film Kanguva featuring Suriya. Interestingly, Disha’s father, Jagdish Patani, who is a deputy superintendent of police in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, has made headlines.

It turns out that Jagdish Patani has filed a case against some of his colleagues and other individuals, claiming they extorted ₹25 lakhs from him by promising a high-ranking position in the police department. Three men allegedly tricked him into paying ₹5 lakhs in cash and transferring the remaining ₹20 lakhs to various accounts. When the promised position never materialized, he realized he had been scammed.

The case has been filed, and some arrests have been made. We'll have to wait and see how this unfolds in the days to come. Stay tuned for updates!
