Srinidhi Shetty denies Rs 8 crore fee rumours, says roles matter more than money
KGF actress Srinidhi Shetty has rejected talk that she now charges Rs 8 crore, saying a strong role counts for more than pay and that she would take a smaller fee for the right film.
Srinidhi Shetty has shot down talk that she now asks for Rs 8 crore to sign a film. The Kannada actress called the figure a rumour with no truth in it.
The KGF star, who became known across India through the franchise, asked how she could demand that kind of money after only a handful of films. "If earning money was my only goal, I would have done around 20 films by now," she said, explaining why she has stayed choosy even after her rise.
For Srinidhi, the part comes first. She said good content and a strong character weigh more with her than a big cheque, and that she has held to this since she started out. Several offers were turned down because the projects fell short of what she wanted.
She went a step further and said she would gladly accept lower pay if a film gave her solid content and a role worth playing. Being recognised as a performer and working in meaningful cinema, she added, matter more to her than a huge salary.
