Drishyam 3 beats Drishyam 2's lifetime haul inside its first week
Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 3 has passed the lifetime collection of Drishyam 2 before finishing its first week, making it the biggest film in the Hindi Drishyam franchise.
Drishyam 3 has overtaken the lifetime collection of Drishyam 2 before even finishing its first week in theatres. The Ajay Devgn crime thriller is now the highest-grossing film in the Hindi Drishyam franchise.
Reports say the film ended its first seven days with about ₹245.50 crore net in India.
The two earlier films set a much lower bar. The first Drishyam made around ₹110 crore worldwide, while Drishyam 2 pushed the franchise to roughly ₹340 crore worldwide.
Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is the next big name in its path, as it still stands above the new film on Ajay Devgn's list of top earners.
Abhishek Pathak directs this third instalment. Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, the man at the centre of the franchise's cat-and-mouse story, and Tabu is back as well.
