Drishyam 3 box office: Ajay Devgn's thriller posts a huge opening weekend

Ajay Devgn's Drishyam The Conclusion, the final chapter of the Drishyam franchise, has opened to massive numbers in India and abroad. Abhishek Pathak directs the crime thriller, and Tabu, Shriya Saran and Jaideep Ahlawat join Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar returns for his last move. In just three days, the film crossed the Rs 150 crore net mark in India.

The film reportedly opened with Rs 62 crore net on day one and dipped to Rs 53.50 crore on Saturday. It then climbed back to Rs 61 crore on Sunday. Another estimate puts the three-day India total at Rs 174.5 crore net, which works out to Rs 205.91 crore gross.

Overseas, the film collected $6.5 million across the weekend. That was $1.8 million on day one, $2.5 million on day two and $2.2 million on day three. Reports say this is the second-biggest overseas opening weekend for a Bollywood film in 2026, and Ajay Devgn's biggest overseas opening so far. On Sunday it ranked first in the UAE and second in Canada.

Worldwide figures differ between reports. One estimate puts the three-day global gross at Rs 266.91 crore, and another puts it at Rs 272.80 crore. Even at the lower figure, the film is reportedly already Ajay Devgn's fifth highest-grossing film worldwide, ahead of Raid 2 at Rs 242.42 crore. Singham Again still holds the top spot with Rs 402.26 crore.

The makers have not announced an official budget, but reports put it at Rs 110 crore, which the film has already passed. Early estimates point to a Monday haul of Rs 15 to 18 crore, which would take the four-day India total to around Rs 190 to 195 crore. Reviews have reportedly been mostly positive.

The thriller's run is also being felt by other films in theatres. Hanuman Ansh has lost screens to it but still added Rs 9.18 crore worldwide in its ninth weekend. The Vvaan held its ground in its second weekend with Rs 3.25 crore net on Sunday.
