Simbu urges fans to watch Master

Talented star Vijay’s Master is releasing on January 13. Master was the only movie in the Pongal race, but to everyone's surprise, Simbu announced that his film Eeswaran would release on January 14. Enraged by Simbu's decision Vijay's fans started trolling him on social media. To subdue the resentment of Vijay's fans, Simbu issued a statement clarifying his stance that his film is not a competition to Vijay's movie Master. He added that his movie Eeswaran is a perfect family entertainer which is apt for Pongal release. He further added that his movie is not competing with Vijay's movie.

Simbu acclaimed that Vijay is like his elder brother. Simbu also praised the makers of the film Master, who waited for a year-long to release the movie in the theaters, although the theater business was not impressive. Manmadha star, Simbu has also urged his fans to watch the movies Master and Eeswaran in the theaters, signifying how safe the theaters are now. He also said that if both the movies do well at the box-office it is going to be a good sign for the film industry, which is currently sailing through financial hardships. In a surprise of events, Tamil Nadu Government earlier in the day announced full occupancy in theaters, which is good for both the movies.
