Shah Rukh Khan Eyed For Lead In 'The Immortal Ashwatthama'

Shah Rukh Khan in Contention for Lead Role in Hindi Epic 'The Immortal Ashwatthama.

Reports suggest that NTR and Ram Charan, two of the top Telugu film stars, are leading the race to bag the main lead in the upcoming Hindi epic film, The Immortal Ashwatthama. However, neither actor has officially signed on for the project yet.

Now, it seems that there is a new contender for the lead role, as popular Hindi film superstar Shah Rukh Khan has also entered the fray. According to sources, the film's director Aditya Dhar recently met with Khan to discuss the project.

Jio Studios is backing the film with a massive budget, and an official announcement regarding the lead actor is expected in the second half of this year.
