Salman Khan's security pulls away fan at Prem Keetanu special screening

Salman Khan went to a special screening of Prem Keetanu to cheer on Veer Pahariya, but what people are talking about is a short run-in with an excited fan outside the venue. The event was reportedly held in Mumbai on Thursday evening, October 1, before the film's release in theatres.

Video of his arrival shows the star greeting actor Anup Soni outside the theatre and posing for photographers. As he moved towards the entrance, a young man rushed at him and got close, even with several security staff around. Reports say the fan held the actor's hand, and Salman looked startled as he turned towards him. His bouncers moved in straight away and pulled the man off, and Salman then walked into the theatre with Anup Soni.

The clip has split opinion online. Many social media users reportedly felt the fan should have been handled more gently, saying fans are human beings too and that the pulling was wrong. Others agreed that security teams have to keep order around a star of his size.

This is not the first time it has happened. In April 2026, a man reportedly put his arm around Salman at an airport while the actor was talking to a young fan. Security moved the man aside, and Salman signalled his team to calm down before going back to the conversation.

Inside the theatre, Salman reportedly met the film's team, including Veer Pahariya and Aafiya Sayed. His visit was seen as support for Veer and for producer Sajid Nadiadwala, a longtime friend. He kept his look casual: a light blue shirt with rolled-up sleeves, white trousers and dark sunglasses.

On the work front, Salman stars in Monster, directed by Vamshi Paidipally with Nayanthara, and it is aiming for an Eid 2027 release. He is also reportedly lined up for The Bull with director Vishnu Vardhan, and for Maatrubhumi alongside Chitrangda Singh.
