Sai Durgha Tej teams up with Teja Kakumanu and Anil Sunkara for SDT19

Sai Durgha Tej has a new film on his slate. SDT19 was announced on the actor's birthday, with Teja Kakumanu directing and Anil Sunkara producing under the AK Entertainments banner.

Regular shooting starts this month.

This is Teja's first feature film as a director. Audiences know him as an actor from several films, Baahubali among them. His work behind the camera got wider attention with the web series Save The Tigers 3.

For his first feature, Teja has written a story built around Sai Durgha Tej. The role is meant to show the actor in a new light, different from his usual screen image.

Anil Sunkara has backed a wide range of films through AK Entertainments, from big commercial entertainers to smaller, content-driven projects. With SDT19, he brings that experience to a debut director and a lead actor working together for the first time.
