Energetic hero Ram Pothineni's RED lined up for Sankranthi 2021 theatrical release. The movie is the remake of the Tamil film Thadum and is titled RED. RED is an action thriller in which hero Ram is playing a dual role,  helmed by Kishore Tirumala and produced by Krishna Chaitanya and Sravanthi Ravi Kishore under the banner of Sri Sravanti Movies. The movie stars Ram Pothineni, Nivetha Pethuraj, Malvika Sharma, and Amrita Iyer. 

This is likely to be hero Ram's 18th film in the Telugu Industry. The film went on floors from 14th November 2019 after Puri Jagganadh clapped the first shot. The film was likely to be released in April 2019, and the release was postponed due to the pandemic lockdown. There were rumors which read that the movie will be released on OTT platforms, but Hero Ram denied. Therefore, the movie will be released for Sankranthi 2021 in theaters. Sankranthi 2021 has many films lined up, and Ram's RED adds to the race. The story revolves around two look-alike men living in the same city. One of them attacks a man and leaves him dead.   Manisharma composed the music and the background score for the film. Hero Ram is the only Tollywood actor who hasn't signed any projects. He talks in for a couple of projects, which will be disclosed after RED is released.
