Rashmika Mandanna to star in Vicky Kaushal starrer historical biopic 'Chhava' after her impressive debut in Hindi films. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, is based on the life of Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of the legendary Chatrapati Shivaji.

Rashmika will play the role of Yesubai Bhonsale, the wife of Sambhaji Maharaj. The shooting for the movie is expected to commence in September after the pre-production work. Apart from 'Chhava', Rashmika will also be seen in 'Pushpa The Rule' alongside Allu Arjun and a Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie called 'Rainbow'.
