Vijay Deverakonda told fans at the Ranabaali pre-release event that the film will arrive on October 16 in a way that makes the Telugu film industry proud. Rahul Sankrityan directs the period action drama, and Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead opposite Vijay.

The actor explained where the story came from. While shaping the idea, Rahul travelled to Vijay's village, listened to local tales, watched jatara celebrations and festivals, and studied the heroic stories told through Burrakathas and folk traditions. Vijay said that research led the director to hidden chapters of history and gave the film a larger purpose.

Rahul made his own promise from the stage. Audiences will see Vijay's peak performance, the director said, pointing to intense visuals of the actor riding a horse.

Vijay called Ranabaali his third film with Rashmika and said he was proud of how she has grown, both as an actor and as a person. Only she could carry the weight the lead pair needed, he added. He also thanked Ajay-Atul for the song "Endhayya Saami" and praised Mythri Movie Makers for backing strong stories.

Overseas numbers moved after the event. The film's North American pre-sales climbed by $75K in 24 hours to reach $175K, according to its overseas distributor.

Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar produce the pan-India film under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, with T-Series presenting. Once the film is out, Vijay said, the team will visit Vijayawada and Anantapur.
