Ranabaali makers ask theatres to raise sound levels to 6 or 6.6 after release
Ranabaali's makers have asked distributors to get theatres to raise the film's sound level from 5.6 to 6 or 6.6, after early viewers complained about the audio.
The makers of Ranabaali want theatres to turn the volume up. The Vijay Deverakonda film opened on October 16. Within hours, the makers told distributors in a note that the film should play at sound level 6 or 6.6, not 5.6.
Some theatres had been running the period action drama at 5.6 by mistake. The makers said in their statement on X that this setting does not give the best experience in a theatre. They asked every distributor to have its screens raise the level and keep the film there, so audiences get the full sound impact the team intended.
Complaints from early viewers came first. Reports say some found the audio too low in certain scenes, and felt the background score lacked punch in the big action moments.
Rahul Sankrityan directs Ranabaali, with Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Ajay-Atul composed the music.
