Ram Charan has wrist rods removed, weeks of physiotherapy ahead

Ram Charan has cleared another important step in his recovery from the wrist injury that has kept him away from film sets. The actor went back to Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore for a planned follow up procedure, where doctors removed both the cast and the rods that had been placed in his wrist during his earlier surgery.

The procedure was carried out by Dr. Praveen, with Dr. Rajasekaran and Dr. Sabhapathi overseeing the work. With the hardware now out, the removal marks a key milestone for the star. His focus now shifts fully to rehabilitation, and he has been advised to keep following a structured recovery plan under medical supervision.

The injury is linked to the shoot of Peddi. Reports say he hurt his wrist while filming an action sequence and chose to have surgery only after completing his work on the film. Peddi is reportedly a sports action drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana, with Janhvi Kapoor and Jagapathi Babu also part of the cast.

The road back will take some time. Ram Charan is expected to go through around 8 to 10 weeks of intensive physiotherapy, which means a complete recovery could stretch beyond two months. His return to shooting will depend on how well the wrist heals and on clearance from his doctors. According to reports, he could be back on set after mid November.

Fans are also keeping an eye on his next big project with director Sukumar, reportedly being called RC17 for now. Work on that film is expected to begin once the actor has recovered, and reports suggest its shoot may start only in early 2027.
