R Madhavan teases his next film with a messy-haired, bearded new look

R Madhavan has fans talking again, this time over a fresh look he unveiled in a short video on social media. The actor appears with untidy, tousled hair, a full beard and a pair of glasses. He kept the project itself under wraps, but his caption made the intent clear: "Another day, another film, another look."

The comments section quickly filled with admiration. One fan got playfully tangled while comparing the actor to his son, Vedaant Madhavan, first saying Madhavan looked like his son, then correcting it to say the son looks like him. Others called him "Cutieeeee," said he still charms them, and asked how he could be so handsome when he seems to be growing younger.

One admirer compared him to fine wine with a bright sense of cinema, while another praised the way he does complete justice to every role he takes on. A few simply said they were waiting to find out what comes next, a question the actor has not answered yet.

Changing his appearance for a part is nothing new for Madhavan. Over the years he has grown beards, switched hairstyles and adopted very different styling whenever a character called for a new physical identity.

His most recent work proves the point. For G.D.N, which arrived on Netflix in August 2026, he wore heavy prosthetic ageing makeup to play inventor and engineer G. D. Naidu, widely known as the "Edison of India." In the Dhurandhar franchise he plays intelligence officer Ajay Sanyal, a role inspired by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and went for a stern, formal look with a grey suit, rimless glasses and neatly side-parted hair.

On the work front, Madhavan is also set to host Game Changers, a business reality show that will bring together startup founders from around the world. For now, the film behind his latest look remains a mystery.
