Bigg Boss Telugu 5 fame Priyanka Singh marks ten years of her transition
Bigg Boss Telugu season 5 contestant Priyanka Singh has shared an emotional social media post marking ten years since her transition, recalling the pain and loneliness of those early days and saying she is now proud of who she is.
Priyanka Singh first won over Telugu television audiences with her comedy on Jabardasth and later walked into the Bigg Boss Telugu house in season 5. Now she has opened up about the most personal chapter of her life. In an emotional post on social media, she marked ten years since she began her journey as a woman. The note has gone viral, and fans and netizens are flooding her with messages praising her courage.
Before Bigg Boss, Priyanka entertained viewers on Jabardasth and several other TV shows, often playing female characters in comedy skits. She later underwent gender reassignment surgery and then entered the fifth season of Bigg Boss Telugu. Her own style of play and talk brought her closer to the small-screen audience. Reports say she did not win the season but earned viewers' affection with her honest game. She still appears on TV programmes and stays very active on social media.
In the post, Priyanka wrote that she still cannot believe a decade has gone by. She said she clearly remembers the pain, the tears, the sleepless nights and the loneliness of that time. She also recalled the many moments when she asked herself what she should do and who she really was. According to reports, the post was timed to October 5 and included photos from her surgery, along with memories of the health struggles she faced back then.
Looking back, she said the ten years brought hardships in both her personal life and her career. They reportedly included lonely years, happy days, big professional wins and stretches when she had no work at all. Through all of it, she said, she never gave up on herself. Today she can look in the mirror and proudly say, "I did it."
Priyanka added that she now lives peacefully and happily, on her own terms, without causing harm to anyone. She admitted the road was never easy and that it took courage, patience and deep self-belief. She closed by thanking the universe for giving her a beautiful life and the strength to keep moving forward.
